2 Panels Panel 1 Capt. Cernan speaks into his headset microphone and says, "Rocks from the moon can help us learn how it and the earth were formed." Panel 2 We see a stark moonscape with an astronaut standing beside a large boulder. Capt. Cernan says, "Our crew includes Jack Schmitt, a geologist.* He is the first scientist in space! We collected a bunch of rocks that could totally change how we think the earth and moon were formed." Footnote: A geologist is a scientist who studies rocks.
